SOME THINGS TO NOTE
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
In three words? Genuine, creative and authentic, is what we're all about. Straight up, we aren’t weird people - which definitely helps if we are going to hang out with you on your wedding day, let alone take pictures of you. We want you to relax, enjoy the moment and focus on what's most important, each other. We'll fit in like old friends and document the details and genuine moments as they unfold. We love couples who aren't afraid to be a little creative in the process, maybe jump a fence or two, to create some beautiful images that celebrate you. We take our time to capture the big moments and the little
in-betweens, we get the importance of telling stories just as they are, in all their messy and authentic glory.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED, DO YOU TRAVEL?
We're currently based in Whangarei, New Zealand. We have travelled throughout our beautiful country and abroad for weddings, so no where is too far. Bali did you say? Sign us up!
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR WEDDINGS?
Our collections start at $3,100.00 and include two photographers. Please get in touch with us by scrolling to the bottom of our home page. We can start talking about your wedding and send through our pricing details.
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS DO YOU TYPICALLY DELIVER FROM A WEDDING DAY AND HOW SOON DO WE RECEIVE THEM?
Depending on how long you book us for, this varies from a minimum of 400 up to 1000 images. However this isn't a hard and fast rule, as we love to be generous. We promise you'll get a lot of photos!
Depending on whether your wedding sits in the peak season (Nov - Apr) or not, your images will be in your hot little hands between 8 - 12 weeks from the date of your wedding.
WHO 'OWNS' THE IMAGES AND HOW DO WE RECEIVE THEM?
All photographs are copyright of Monique + Cara Photography Ltd. However they ARE YOURS and you have a home-use licence to email, print and upload them to social media. We want you to use, share and love the heck out of them! Once edited, you will receive the images as high resolution via USB.
DO YOU DO ENGAGEMENT SHOOTS?
Absolutely and you'll get heaps of photos to keep. It's a wicked chance to go somewhere awesome, have a bit of fun celebrating, and its perfect for getting in a bit of practice together before the big day. Many of our couples use the photo's for their wedding invites, score! Please get in touch if you'd like to know more.
DO YOU CREATE WEDDING ALBUMS?
We sure do. We lovingly compose a timeline of favourite photos from the day, into a beautiful story told on the pages of your album. Our friends at RedTree Wedding Albums hand craft your album with the highest quality materials to last a life time, it's a worthy investment. We think it's so important to get your photographs off the computer and into your hands, so please let us know if you'd like this added to a collection.
HOW MUCH TIME IS NEEDED FOR BRIDAL PARTY SHOTS?
This is one of the most important considerations for us, your bridal party and Mr&Mrs portraits are one of our top priorities. As such, we need a minimum of two hours in order to get all the shots you and we require. We desperately want to create the most beautiful and emotive filled images and this is usually the perfect amount of time to achieve this. This time requirement can be flexible however, so just get chatting to us and we'll figure it out!
